Longest run since November of 2009 this morning so I am feeling pretty decent about it :). Truth be told I have slacked this winter and with Boston coming up soon, I had better get crackin. I am not attempting to make some record time at Boston but I would like to be able to run the event feeling decent! Tyler is going to run this year with me so we want to run it for the experience rather then a time. Got to get some long miles in so that we can feel well enough during the course to enjoy it!! I am looking forward to it!

This morning I met up with the Heidi's for our trek. We started and walked a bit here and there over the first 6 miles so we had to tack on distance so that we actually ran 12 miles. I had a baptism that I needed to get home and ready for so my mind was a bit consumed with that. We turned at the 6 mile point and started heading home and my watch beeped at me that the data base was full. I attempted to clear a couple of entries so that I could record the run I was in the middle of but accidentally cleared the entire memory so I was starting from scratch for the last 6 miles. I think we averaged a 8:45ish for the first 6 miles though. As we started home, we got to about mile 9 and I looked at my watch to check the time, OH NO, I was supposed to be home RIGHT NOW!! And I still had 3 miles to go. I told the Heidi's I had to book it home so I tried to speed up slightly and get my booty for home. I ended up averaging an overall 8:36 for the last 6 miles and made it to the baptism about 9 minutes late is all. It was a nice run and a nice Saturday :)

Britta: It has been a while!! Thanks for the wishes in Boston. I am looking forward to it but also a bit nervous. I think it'll be a great experience though so I am looking forward to it!! How is CA? I bet you have BEAUTIFUL weather there right now!! Speaking of, I didn't tell you that we came to Huntington Beach the end of December and drove right along the beach (I am assuming it's where you run?). Where do you live?? I have a friend (That I told you about) that lives on 1st Street. Does that ring a bell at all???
