Well, I was going to get up this morning and get on the TM but I didn't (Ty actually turned off the alarm and I didn't hear a thing so, it resulted in sleeping in).  I woke up at 6:50 and debated trying to go down on the TM for even just 30 mins but was worried about getting back into the routine of things after our LONG break from work and opted not to.  Good thing as we all had a bit of a hard time getting back to our normal school/work morning jive.  So, I got home from work and ran out for a minute in between getting home and Tyler running.  I am a bit sad tonight :(.  I am just 28 weeks pregnant and the running hit a bit of a wall for me tonight.  I hit 2 miles and started cramping worse then typical.  For the last long while I would get Braxton Hicks that would tighten my stomach and create the pain down the back of my legs but tonight it was a sharp pain that ran along the bottom of my stomach, up both sides and down the front and back of my legs.  It honestly felt like my muscles and ligaments, etc were tearing.  It hurt and almost brought me to tears.  I tried to walk a few times and start running again and actually was able to run the last 1 1/2 miles straight but it really hurt!! And, I have now been home for 5 hours and am still cramping. I am not sure what to do at this point.  Wondering if it was just a "night" or the way things are going to be from now on and if I am doing damage, etc.  I need to think about things and may try to find a pregnancy belt to use when running, I have heard those help!! Guess we'll see.

I think it's safe to say that I did some damage with yesterday's run.  My stomach proceeded to hurt (like painful muscle hurt) all night, through the night and so far all of today!! Not sure if I dare say running will have to stop until after the baby, but it's appearing as if it may be the case.  So, I was glad that Heidi C text last night and opted to do a workout video with me today downstairs! I have such an easier time getting up if I know someone is coming over.  I even woke up before the alarm and was able to get some things done in my house which was nice:).  So, we did some strength training and called it good! I think I will try to get on the TM tonight for some brisk walking or maybe even go to the gym to hop on the elliptical.  I need to do something Cardio'ish! Guess we'll see how it goes with our busy night! Have a happy Tuesday!

So, I was going to get up this morning and run with Heidi C but to put it frank, I just wasn't in the mood :).  My babes (3 1/2 year old, but still call him my babes) threw up about 8:00ish last night and then was fine but I started feeling sick to my stomach during the night and just had an uneasy stomach when I woke up so again.....I wasn't in the mood to run and I was also a bit apprehensive after my run from Monday ( I know, I need to have a more positive attitude).  Sooooooo, I got home from work today and decided to go downstairs to get some sort of workout it.  I ended up getting 3 miles in on the Treadmill.  I walked for .25 each mile, then ran it out to the mile mark, then walked, etc.   This helped with the contracting and didn't kill me off:) Then, I got done running and did 30 minutes of my Physique 57 workout that literally about killed me! Its sad that I used to be able to do the full 57 minutes and actually get through it without wanting to die! I have a long way to go to get back into shape after my baby but at least I will have a baby to show for it! I am excited for that! It's all good! So glad I got something in for the day:)

This cold winter is killing me:). As if its not already hard enough to get motivated to get out and run being "front" heavy, I can't seem to find the desire to layer in multiples to run outside. In other words, I opted to stay inside today.  So, I woke up with intentions to run on the TM but I think my little lady (aka baby) was laying on something because I felt a pinch in my hip that went down my leg so I just decided to go for a good old fashioned walk:).  It actually felt really nice and got my heart pumping.  I walked for about 30 minutes at a brisk pace and then did weights and stretching for another 20 mins or so.  It was good to get up and get my morning off to a good start:)!

Oh how I love winter and the time that it allows me to run.  Meaning, its so nice sleeping in and running later in the morning:).  This morning Heidi C and I left at 9:00AM to got out for a quick 5 mile square!!! I felt pretty good.  We walked for the first little bit, then ran until mile 2.5, then took another little walk break and finished the rest of the way running.  No major cramps today which was very nice!! Looks like I can still keep hanging in there!! :)

Pretty proud of myself! I actually got up and went to the gym this morning.  Its too darn cold to attempt to do anything outside:)! I did 2 different elliptical machines for a total of 35 minutes, then ran on the TM for 10 minutes (Partial walk at first and then ran, then walked) so I got a total of 45 mins of cardio and a whole mile in, yesssssss!!! I finished off my little workout with 15 minutes of weights! Nice morning!

Oh, I got to run with the Heidi's this morning!! I just have to say how grateful I am to these girls!! They have taught me so much but aside from everything what great friends they are to continue running with me in my state right now!!!  I just love them:)!!!!

It was SO NICE to get out this morning.  We met up and ran 5 mile square.  Around mile 2 I decided to walk (have been having some pretty intense BH contractions lately that are a little scary and I don't want to do anything that I will regret later) so I walked while they kept running.  I figure I walked about .5 miles then started running again and met back up with the Heidi's to finish the square.  It was one of those morning when you run and look around and feel SO GRATEFUL for so many things.  Today I am grateful to live where I do!!! Grateful for the warmer temps this morning!! Grateful that I am active and have a healthy body that allows me to do things.  Grateful that I am pregnant with my 4th baby and that all is well (seriously, it makes me cry to think about sometimes).  Grateful that I have a supportive family that allows me to do what I do.  Grateful for my friends that inspire me and keep me going.  Grateful for my beautiful boys and the motivation they give me! Just a great morning.  I am gitty (if you can't tell) and just so darn glad that I got some miles in:).  Looking forward to my big ole 5k this weekend that I get to run with my son and best friend JaNae!!! See...........so much to be grateful for:)!!! Happy Monday!

So I slept in a little too long this morning but had intentions to get on the TM so I got dressed and went down stairs.  After a mere 20 minutes of walking, my head was so full of things that I "Needed" to be doing that I turned the TM off and came upstairs to get my morning started.  I was able to get in 1.3 miles and a bit of stretching beforehand.

Sooooo, I got home later and convinced my sweet hubby to run the boys to Piano lessons so that I could go out for a run! I ran out 2 and back for an even 4 miles and the best part is.......I didn't stop to walk one time, Hooray!!!  I actually felt REALLY good tonight! I LOVE this weather! It's perfect for running. I think it's lightening my mood:).

30 weeks along now, but who's counting;)

In St. George this weekend for the St. George 5k and 1/2 Marathon.  I LOVE St. George! The weather is PERFECT!!! Tyler got up and went running and when he got home, I got suited up to go out.  As I was getting ready I asked my son Evan if he wanted to come with me.  Last year Evan ran 3 5k's between August and October, then finished Soccer but hadn't really ran since then.  Knowing he was running the 5k tomorrow most likely sparked his interested in coming along with me after an entire winter off:). So, he got dressed and came with me.  I just ran out a mile with him and back putting him at 2 miles.  He did great!! Didn't stop once and we even ran some good hills.  Plus he was talking and keeping me company so it was a lot of fun to go with him and something I look forward to doing more.  Then, I dropped him off at the house and kept going for a bit longer just to get one more mile in.  3 just sounded better to me then 2:).  It was a good way to start a vacation day~

Oh, what a fun morning!!! We woke up this morning, geared up and left the house at about 8:00 to head out to the race. Tyler was running the half marathon and my little Evan and I, along with my brother-in-law John planned to run the 5k.  I have deemed St. George the PERFECT place to run during this time of year! It couldn't have been more beautiful or perfect for a race day!  I didn't think I would be able to keep up with Evan and John so the plan was to start together and then let them do their thing (A big thanks to John for agreeing to run with Evan by the way) and I do my thing.  For the last few weeks my pace has slowed (which is fine) and I just haven't felt great running but I really had SO FUN this morning.  I think the sun lifts my mood:)!!! We hung in the car until it was time to line up.  As I got out of the car and stood up, I realized that I should probably make a Bathroom run if I planned on running 3 miles (yes, it's nice being 7 months preggers and running:).  Evan decided he had better also so we ran inside to find a very long line for the bathrooms, nice!!! We finished up and as we walked out I saw Michelle gearing up for the half!! She spotted me by my ever so evident "profile shot":) ha ha!! It was great to see her and chat for a split sec! As we were talking the announcer came over saying "The 5k will start in 2 minutes", oh no, we had better hurry!!! SO, we ran up to the start line, met up with John and off we went:).  Let me start by saying that I would be PERFECTLY CONTENT to just run 5k's with Evan for the rest of my life.  They are honestly the FUNNEST thing to me.  It's so great watching your son run and accomplish things.  He did so great and didn't stop once! He even ran through the water stop grabbing a cup, taking a quick swallow and carrying on.  He is a cute boy and I had so fun running with him. Suprisingly, I was actually able to stay up with them also:).  I felt really good! We hung together the whole time until we turned the last corner and saw the finish line.  Evan has this tendancy to be able to kick it into HIGH GEAR the last .25 miles or so, so as expected, off he went!! I just hung back and watched him with a smile from ear to ear (oh he makes me proud).  He ended up finishing about 10 seconds before me at 24:50'ish.  I finished at 25:03 which was a 8:06 average! I was proud of myself! Sorry to keep patting myself on the back but it was just a lot of fun.  We finished, got some goodies and then I went out to run a bit longer while waiting for Tyler to finish.  I ended up running around some loops just in time to catch Tyler at the 7 mile mark of the half marathon! I also got to see Michelle, Amber G and several other familiar faces that again, brought a smile to my face.  I ended up getting an additional 2.5 miles in for the day putting me at 5.5 for the day.  :)

For the last few weeks I have wondered where I want to go with running after my baby is born.  A part of me wants to just take it easy and enjoy my baby and quit stressing about training, juggling training etc.  I think to myself that I want to run only 5-6 miles maybe 4-5 days a week.  However, after being at the race and seeing all of the famliar faces, it sparked that desire to go all "gung ho" after my babes is born so now I am torn.  I guess we will will just have to wait and see what happens after she gets here and how my body heals, etc!! It was just a fun morning and one that made me fall in love with running, my surroundings and all of the wonderful people that I have met in the running world!! I love it!!!

Oh it's hard to recover from a wonderful weekend in St. George!! I planned to run with Heidi C this morning but when the alarm went off, I really didn't want to get up.  Never the less, I did, knowing I would regret it later if I didn't.  The forecast last night said 28 degrees this morning so I only wore a thin pair of pants, a short sleeved shirt and a long tech shirt over (with a beenie and gloves of course).  I walked outside and thought "ummm, I wonder if I dressed warm enough" but figured I would warm up quickly.................I was wrong!!!.  Heidi told me her thermostat registered 21 degrees so it's not like it was THAT COLD but I was FREEZING!!! I had to stop and walk a couple of times this morning,  It was one of those days.  Baby was laying low which wasn't easy on the sciatic or the bladder (sorry for the honesty) but if I walked for more then 20 seconds, I froze so it motivated me to keep running.  Poor Heidi, she is such a great friend!! She just goes along with me and is so nice to stop and walk with me!! I am lucky to have her.  Moral of the story is it was a rough run this morning, especially after such a wonderful run on Saturday!! Oh well, I will keep going.  I am almost 31 weeks now which is only how long I lasted running with Baby #3, so I feel grateful to still be running and running 5 miles at that.  I am sure I will continue to slow down but I will fight as long as I can:). Happy Monday!!!

I was supposed to get up and run with Heidi C this morning but was up all night with a sore throat amongst other things :) so I decided to sleep in a bit and go after work.  I should know by now that my energy levels deplete as the day goes so I started with low energy, forgot gloves so my hands were Frrrreeezing, and I basically felt like I needed to go to the bathroom the whole time (yah, that was a lot of information).  It was a miserable run and now as I post (4 hours later) I am still feeling the after pains so it really wasn't worth it.  Oh well, glad I got 3 miles in even if I have to run on the TM from here on out.  Looking forward to some strength training with Heidi in the morning:).

Quick little strength training session downstairs with Heidi C and Erin (Instructor on DVD).  It was nice to get something in knowing that my running will be very limited from here on out in the pregnancy.  I was all up all night contracting after my "run" and still having pains this morning.  We'll see if it was just a random thing or if it continues~

First and foremost, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Tyler tomorrow!!! I just had to get that on here in the event that I don't blog tomorrow:)!!! Weird that he is turning 34 and I have known him for almost 20 years!! What a great 20 years it has been:). Happy Birthday hun~

Woke up this morning and decided to attempt the treadmill knowing I didn't dare go outside (don't want to get too far from home and have an experience like the other night).  I had no idea what my plan was so I decided I would start with a brisk walk at an incline.  After only .5 miles, I was kind of bored and decided I wanted to run the next .5 getting me to the first mile mark.  I got to that point and felt pretty good, sooooo, that's what I continued to do! I walked again .5 at an incline (4.1-4.3 pace) then took it up to 6.7 for .5, back down, etc until I reached 3 miles.  It ended up taking about 35 minutes and then I had to get going for the day.  Overall, I felt good and liked the plan to walk and run getting some miles in.  I think I will do it again tomorrow trying to get at least 5 miles in.   Just trying to do what I can for now.  Only 8 1/2 weeks to go, but who's counting right?? :)

Happy Birthday to my hubby!!!

Tyler woke up, got ready and headed over the Hale Center Theater's 10K so I decided to venture a joyous 5 miles on the TM this morning!! I kept with the .5 mile walk  .5 mile run theme which seems to be working!!! A bit frustrating that it took me one hour exactly to run 5 miles, but glad that I could get a little something in!! No after pains, so that's a good thing:).

My mileage is dwindling but I am still trying:).  Woke up a bit later then I should have but wanted to get something in and knew it was a crazy day and night so later was not an option.  So, I hopped on the TM and got in 3 miles (Again with the half mile walk, half mile run technique).  I am actually really liking this option because I feel like I get a semi-decent work out and it doesn't bring on the strong BH Contractions and after contractions that keep me up all night.  I think it's my body's way of saying "yah, this works" so we'll stick with it:).  Took me 35 mintues~ Better then nothing!
