I got a sitter this morning so that I could go out for my long run.  The Heidi's and I planned to go out but Tyler's running partner had some things come up at the last minute so he decided to join us as well.  He had to go to the city park in SF to set up for the big Iceland Days festival so he just decided to run there.  We left our house and ran out to river bottoms where we parted ways with Tyler and then ran back. (Just 6 miles out and then 6 miles back).  It was a Beautiful morning and perfect for running.  I felt really good today and felt like I could have even gone a few more miles, but realized that it won't be long until I am running longer miles so I better take these days while I can get them!!

Avg pace ended up being 8:23 over all but the last mile I averaged a 7:58 so I was happy about that!

PM.  We had a FRB party at our house! So much fun!! Thanks to everyone who came and brought yummy food and partied with us!!  It was really a lot of fun.  I feel very fortunate to have found so many great friends on this blog!! Thanks again Ya'll~

Thanks for letting me tag along! We need to do that more. I would like to get a sitter one morning when you gals do some longer speed work. Good job on the pace!

Marion: Thank you so much for coming! That was a lot of fun. I think we should start holding monthly FRB parties. However, there are always just the few of us who stick around and party hardy into the wee hours of the morn, TOO MUCH FUN!! Thank you again for coming and for bringing that YUMMY Salad!!

Lily: Thanks for commenting. I like long runs too, most of the time. And I don't think I like them for the actual running part, more for the after math knowing I just ran that many miles and burned that many calories!! Those are good times :)

Ty: It was fun to have you along. You should come out with us on a longer speed day and whip us right into shape. I need that!

Nice run, it sure is nice to feel good during and after a long run. You had a good pace too.

Wish I could have made it to the party. We got back in town about 6, but we were dragging!!! If you hear of another party, let me know.

From kellies on Mon, Jun 29, 2009 at 14:37:35 from 160.7.238.59

Thanks Jon! Yeah, we missed you at the party. Sorry you couldn't come. The confessionals weren't nearly as much fun without you there :). Are you guys going to come and run the Red Hot Pink Chicks half marathon on the 11th?? I think Tyler and Scott are going to be our "Men" that run so you should get Kelly and come and run it with us!! In response to your party comment, I think we should start holding those monthly. You up for hosting the next one??

From Jon A on Mon, Jun 29, 2009 at 14:45:15 from 67.214.249.195

I'm so bummed about the RHPC half. Kelly has another bike race, this time in Seattle. It goes from Seattle to Portland. About 250 miles. That is on the 11. I heard about that on Marions blog and have been bummed ever since.

Monthly sounds good, I'll talk to Kelly about hosting.

Dang!! Wow, she is really amazing. 250 miles?!?!? Impressive!! That sounds really fun though. Sounds like you better host a party so that she can tell us all about it too. You need any more reasons?? ha ha! jk. No pressure but if you were to decide to host one, count us in :)
