Last night Tyler and I stayed at our family cabin with my mom, etc so we had to get up extra early to make it down for our Saturday run.  Thank you to my mom who agreed to watch the boys so that we could come down together.  We woke up about 4:45 and left the cabin at 5:00 (only 15 minutes away), picked up the Heidi's and headed over to S.F. to meet up with JaNae (Ty was meeting up with Rich).  We had planned to do 14 miles and I kind of had a route mapped out in my head but when we were only about 3 miles from the finish I looked at my watch and we had only gone 8 miles, SNAP!!!!, we had to add on 3 miles.  So, we kind of improvised and took some turns here and there to get our mileage in.  All in all, I felt pretty good today. My back is sore and I had to stop and stretch it several times, but I tried to take the down heels easy and listen to my body.  We had some good heels today and so I felt a was a very versatile course.  It was very muggy this morning but good cloud coverage so we didn't get pounded by the Sun, BEAUTIFUL!!  It was a perfect morning for running with girl friends. Thanks Ladies!

Kellie,

You are unbelievable!!! I can't believe you ran that with a sore back, plus hills!!! You amaze me. :)

Hope you had a fantastic holiday.

We all need to get together again really soon! :)

GREAT JOB!!! I am glad that you were able to get in a long run without a lot of pain! And look at that pace---wow!

So glad that you were able to get your long run in with that crazy back! I hope you can figure it out. I was having some back issues about 10 years ago and found out I had scoliosis. Sometimes the back would pinch a nerve and stay like that for the day or so. I blame it on all those years of cheerleading. Yours is probably the same!!! Good Luck! I'm hoping to run Provo River if I can get some long runs in this month. Maybe we can run it together.

Hey Teena! I know I am way late in getting back to you but just wanted to say thanks for the nice comment!! It was good talking to you for a split second yesterday as well. Hope class went well. Luvs~

Kelli: Thanks Darlin. I am trying hard to catch up with you. It's not working but I will keep trying!

Kellie: (Wow, what a great name :). Hello! Thanks for checking in. Yes, I am certain that all of my years of back troubles are due to many years of gymnastics and cheerleading. I always said that if I had a daughter, I am not sure I would let her do gymnastics but hey, I don't have a daughter so I have nothing to worry about right!! I am so glad you are coming to Utah and will be running the Provo Half. If you are still injured and want to run my slow pace, I would love to run with you. However, I know you are a much faster runner so no pressure at all!! I will definitely be watching for you regardless!! Thanks Kel. So good to hear from you!!
