Oh man, I hit a major milestone tonight.....are you ready.................I ran on the treadmill!! I know, I know, I am sure you are impressed.  I knew this night was coming but I didn't expect it to come so soon.  I mean, it's only been 2 years since I have done so :).  Further, it's been a lifetime since I ran on a treadmill and actually enjoyed it!  Tonight I got home after a very stressful day at work, running errands and the RS party and knew that I wanted to try and run but also, assumed I would be very tired, since I usually am at 9:30. However, I put on my new racing flats (thanks to Steve at St. George Running Center's sale) and headed down stairs. I had planned on only going 3-4 miles or so but at mile 3, I felt like I had just started.  My breathing felt great, legs felt strong, I was in heaven (this is a first since the marathon).  It felt like I was dreaming (you know how those running dreams go, when you run and run and run and don't get tired? It's heavenly).  Well, I decided to go 5 miles but still felt awesome, so I figured "why not just finish a 10K", so..I did.  If time had permitted, I would have gone farther, but I have to allow myself time to calm down before going to bed.  However, this is exciting for me because this may be something that I can do to get me through the winter (that apparently is going to be brutal given the amount of snow fall received over the past 2 days).  Anyway, I feel as if I am on cloud 9 and the only one I have to share it with is the FRB given my entire family is sound asleep now.  So, there is my exciting news.  I am off to shower and to get some sleep.  Night~

(Setting 7.0-7.4 on the treadmill which calculated out to be miles 1-2.5 8:49, 2.5-4 8:34. 5th mile at 8:20ish and the last mile at 7:53).

NICE JOB!!! I fell the same way at mile 3, once I finally get there I am god to go for a while (but not forever!!). It is nice to have a treadmill at home where you can watch what you want on TV. I think if i could just watch all of my DVR'd shows at home, I would be happy. But I am stuck at the gym watching stupid stuff.

AND you were speedy on that treadmill!!! I run so slow on those machines. i start at 6.5 and slowly work my way down, but i feel like I am sprinting the entire time.

I FINALLY watched Private Practice. SAD. I cried. I am starting to quite enjoy this show, and I loved the teenage drama this week. It makes me feel human for wanting to kill my teenager sometimes!

Mornin Kel!!! Thanks for your nice comment!! I am almost gitty about my run last night. It's been a VERY long since I have felt that good during a run. I hope that it keeps up!! Our treadmill is down stairs though and the DVR's are up stairs so I don't get to watch my recorded shows. Darn it, that would even add to the effect!! However, I just watched "House hunters", which I don't usually watch and I liked it :). Private Practice is awesome! I love that show. I admit, I cried at last weeks episode also and cringed at the though of raising teenagers. It all scares me. But, I like the personalities of the characters and how they have paired them up!! You really need to watch Brothers and Sisters. It's the best!! LOVE that show :) Man, we need another date night. I miss you already :)

Date nights never last long enough, do they?? I was already feeling the need to get out last night, and it was only Tuesday. I am not usually that grumpy until Thursday. My kids are driving me nuts, plus I have a ton of other stuff to do with school and my enrichment calling, so i get stressed and cranky and get NOTHIING done!!!

Good news, I managed to maintain my weight loss through the weekend (do not ask me how). I think I have finally broken a 2 year plateau!!! It is about freakin' time. However, I am not noticing any difference in my body, and I only have 2.5 pounds to my ULTIMATE goal. i guess I need to change it to 7.5 pounds and see if I can actually get there and if I can then see a difference!!

Do you watch Biggest Loser? The finale was last night and i want to know where all the skin goes??? They were losing like 45-50% of their body weight in 6 months and they do not seem to have all the flab that i do. I guess 5 pregnancies is not the same as weighing 450 pounds.

Kel, if you lost another 7.5 pounds, the Riverton Winds would blow you away!! You look amazing!! I am so darn proud of you, especially because we had TWO treats on date night and you still didn't gain any weight, that is awesome!!! I need to nip my diet in the butt. You are my inspiration!

I do not watch the Biggest loser, but from what I hear, I should start. Everyone is talking about that today!! Guess I'll need to tune in online and get a re-cap........of the whole season. I do wonder how they do it though and where all the skin goes. Maybe.......... they have back stage plastic surgeons that do a little nip tuck before each episode and the reason they lose weight is because they are recovering for 3 weeks, laying down and not eating. Then, they just film the one day of working out and stretch it out over episodes to make it look like they are working out all of the time?!?! Who knows..........???

See, the treadmill isn't that bad. I run on one every morning during winter. I don't mind it. This weather doesn't even allow for a normal run anyway. Good for you cutie.
