| | Our schedule called for a 8 mile out and back route but Heidi W suggested a little tougher course. Figuring we got a 2 day break from running, I felt good about this option. There is a hill here in Salem that I have yet to run without stopping and I felt I was up for the challenge today. I have waited attempting this hill all year for fear that I would fail and feel bad about myself so I told Tyler that I would run it today if it killed me. So, we started out, ran to the hill (2.58 miles) and up we went!! And...........I DID IT!!! Yes, I was very tired when I got to the top but in all honesty, it wasn't that bad and I feel it will be a good preparer for Veyo. We then ran almost .75 miles flat before we turned and went up another hill into Woodland hills. From that point on, it was smooth sailing. What a beautiful morning and so nice to get out and run. I actually felt really good today and so I was glad about that!! Now, I am off to mow the lawn ( a little added exercise, yipee!!). Splits: 9:11 (very slow warm up mile, we have been liking these), 8:41, 9:27 (this is where we hit "the hill") 8:54, 9:12 (next hill), 8:17, 8:05, 7:59. AP:8:43. Nice to get 8 miles in on a week morning. Thanks to Tyler for helping with the kids in the morning so that I can run a little longer. I really appreciate it!

Same route as Monday today but I didn't feel quite as good. The hill "Harry's Hill" was a bit harder for me and I think I was lacking in ambition because my legs felt a little heavier. However, I was awfully pleased to finish and see that our AP overall was quit a bit better then Monday!! That's always nice :).

Very fun run this morning!! YIPEE!!! Heidi and Heidi are both going to the BYU game tomorrow in Texas so they needed to do their long run. I was going to do my own thing but knew that I wouldn't wake up so I decided to go out with them. We ran out into Benjamin and back. It was such a beautiful morning. The open fields make for cooler temperatures which I always welcome and overall, I just felt good today. We passed Mac and then saw Michelle!! It was so dark that I couldn't tell it was her at first but I said "Hey Michelle" and then she came and ran with us for a minute, HOORAY!!! OH YEAH< OH YEAH!!!! It was so fun running with her again. We had some official business to discuss regarding the Mud Pig Wrestling we will be doing together tomorrow night. Anyone looking for some cheap entertainment and want to come cheer us on??? Anyway, an added highlight came when we hit the last mile home. It is a gradual hill leading up to our street and up until today it has been one of those hills that all but kills me. I am not sure why, it is not steep by any mean, but just one that I don't care for. Today, I felt like I sailed up it (okay, okay 8:34 avg.)!! YEAH. I guess running Harry's Hill twice this week really paid off. It was a fun run and I look forward to tomorrow morning when I get to run with JaNae. Happy Friday :)

| | Long run this morning with JaNae and Janie. Is anyone seeing the trend that I have with running partners here. It's usually Heidi and Heidi or JaNae and now Janie!!! Just a bit ironic I think. So, early morning start at the Stake Center. I failed to give more detailed instructions to Janie on where we were starting to JaNae and I got started and then met up with Janie about mile 2. We ran around Spanish Fork, down to Bishops Store house, through the River Bottoms around the golf course, out into Salem to Harry's Hill and then back into Spanish Fork. It was a nice morning. The Spanish Fork 1/2 marathon was going on so I got to see some familiar faces running (Smooth, Pat Loss, Stephen Amos, etc). A mighty fine job to everyone who came out and ran. It looks and sounds like it was a great race!! My back is a bit sore and I am looking forward to a day of rest tomorrow :) AP: 8:36
